14th July

Ooh, there’s no bread, let ’em eat cake
There’s no end to what they’ll take
Flaunt the fruits of noble birth
Wash the salt into the earth

But they’re marching to Bastille Day.
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize

Sarah and I had decided we wanted to go out and the original plan was to go and see a band that one of her colleagues sings in. In the end we didn’t go as we weren’t sure if we’d be able to get in as it was a private club and also because it seemed that no one else was going. So we still wanted a night out but a cheap one!!! We ended up driving to the Isle of Sheppey and a place called Leysdown. We had chips in the chips shop, bought a can of drink from the shop and then played on the penny ‘chines!! It was a good laugh and cost less than a tenner – job done!
