24th August

Passion fades in candleight
The rude bed of her desire
Beauty in his eyes tonight
Late reminder of my foolish flower

Got up early and wrote a poem using fridge magnets. Sat in the garden listening to a morning symphony whilst drinking tea in a leafy bower.

Showered with a cucumber!

We took the dog for a walk which went along a disused railway track which curiously still had the rails in situ. The lines were visible in places before disappearing into the undergrowth.

We had omlette for lunch made with eggs laid by Tony’s chickens. Afterwards we set off for the four hour drive to Sunderland.
